CHPS brings together researchers and policy experts to examine how healthcare systems are financed, managed, and delivered. Through data-driven research and collaborations, the centre contributes to strengthening public health institutions and promoting universal and equitable healthcare.

Thaware has done research projects on a variety of topics. The projects were sponsored by the central government, the University Grants Commission, the ICSSR, NABARD, and the Government of Maharashtra.

Professor Sumit Kane’s research focus is on the equity, quality, and responsiveness of health systems in low- and middle-income countries.

Dr. Mayuri Samant holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
