Right To Information (RTI)

Sec-4(1) (B) of RTI Act 2005 covers the statutory declaration of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE) website. It covers all the rules and regulations which are implemented by the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra, as applicable.

Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune, is a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. The Institute has a Governing Body as per the applicable provisions and runs as per the rules and regulations made by the Government and statutory authorities from time to time.

The Institute maintains financial accountability through prescribed audit processes. The Institute has different bodies and cells to maintain discipline and good governance on campus.

All the cells or committees of the institution function under the applicable statutory framework. Applications under the RTI Act, along with a postal order / demand draft of Rs. 10.00 obtained in favour of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, may be sent to the Public Information Officer or handed over in his office. All information about the Institute that is open for the public can be obtained by a citizen of India as per the RTI Act, 2005.
